Peter Grainger’s story
“St Mark’s Hospital diagnosed my familial adenomatous polyposis – FAP in 1989.”
“I have been as lucky as a National Lottery big money winner. I have had the country’s best look after me every step of the way. Excitingly – the best are getting better all the time. My predecessors never had that fortune. No one could look after them. They did not know how. St Mark’s would have been Science Fiction. The Polyposis Registry is my seat belt, my life belt, my parachute, my insurance policy and probably my second Mum. My daughter can enjoy this protection too. What more can you possibly ask?”
